Service Description

Before becoming a Captain, Alan spent 20 years as a professional portrait and commercial photographer. He has been awarded the Fellow of Photography degree from the Professional Photographers of Washington and has won many awards in print competitions. He has also taught photography techniques and photoshop editing to other professionals. On this cruise Alan will help you learn how to look for light and composition, as well as special techniques for metering and capturing the split second peak moment of action. You'll come away with a whole new set of tools to practice on your future excursions, whether they be on the water or in the back yard with your pets or kids. These trips are best suited for an afternoon sail when light is better and then we will go in search of great photo subjects: marine life, other boats, islands, sunset, and much more. These tours are only offered as private tours so you must book the boat, you may bring up to 6 guests. We will use Star for these trips and at times launch the tender to an island or to use Star in the photos.

Cancelation Policy

Cancellation Policy is 72 hours notice needed. If less notice is given the whole fee will be charged if we can not fill the seats for your scheduled time and duration. If GSA needs to cancel due to weather there will be no charge and we will attempt to reschedule you if you wish, if availability allows.
